Finishing with the exact same time as the favorite, East Orange, the underdog Golden Knight reached out his head (literally), to capture the 4x400 State Meet of Champions title. While the boys earned their gold, this electric meet takes silver in the greatest moment of all time in Golden Knight history.
As if volleyball isn’t exciting enough, the Golden Knights not only managed to beat the reigning Bergen County Champions, Immaculate Heart Academy, but they also handed IHA their first loss in two years. It took three sets of play before fans vividly remember jumping out of the stands to storm the court — a memory and win that will last a lifetime.

This might be our fifth pick, but don’t be fooled, this Group 3 State Sectional win was truly a Cinderella story. The boys headed into states as a 12th seed, with little expectations from competitors. Yet four games later they hoisted up the trophy, bringing home a state sectional championship, and setting the tone for the future of the Golden Knights boys soccer program.
