Fall Sports: Checking in with Girls Field Hockey
Team looks to continue improving
The field hockey team is looking to improve upon its 1-8 record, with future games against West Milford, Lakeland, and Dwight-Englewood. According to captain, Allison Hargrove (junior), the team plans to improve upon “getting a lot of hard shots off and improving [their] spacing to execute more efficient passes.”
The new season also welcomed new coach, Kayla Frohlich, who will be working side-by-side with returning coach, Katie Fritz. Since the beginning of the season, Frohlich said the team’s “stickwork [and] communication have become better” that they have lately been “giving more heart in [their] games”
Although Frohlich believes that “all of [the] girls have different roles on the team,” key players include captains Hargrove, Katie Dunn (senior), and Dahlia Chocho (senior).
Later this week, the girls will face Lakeland and Dwight-Englewood.
