Korean Club
The Korean Club hosted a bake sale on Tuesday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, after school at the main entrance. Club officers brought homemade and store-bought goodies such as cookies and brownies, in addition to traditional Korean desserts such as dalgona.
Golden Arts Department
The NVOT Theater Department is hosting its annual spring play, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, on March 3, 4, and 5. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through https://nvot.booktix.com/.
Make-A-Wish
This Tuesday, February 14th, the Make-a-Wish club, advised by Ms. Jaclyn Hering, sold various different kinds of flowers in honor of Valentine’s Day. Large flowers were sold for $3 each and smaller flowers were $2 each. The flowers are being sold in the morning by the entrance and around the lunchroom during lunch.
Diversity Club
On February 16, the Diversity Club had a meeting about black history month. They had a slideshow presentation and split into groups to play a jeopardy game. Their meeting next month will be about human trafficking. That will be their last meeting that is separate from diversity day.
Chinese Club
On February 15th, the Chinese Club successfully hosted its Lunar New Year celebration after school. They had a large student turnout and give out many prizes, food, and had a few performances that the NVOT Chinese classes prepared.
