The Metropolitan High School Theater Awards (The Metros) announced its nominations on May 14. NVOT earned a total of nine nominations. 

Nominated senior, Roman Gatti, said, “I am excited for the audience to see what we accomplished for such a hard show.”

Since Cats was nominated for Overall Production of a Musical, the cast will perform at the awards show June 10 at SUNY Purchase. The morning after nominations, another nominated senior, Sophia Ashbahian, said she was excited “to see the theater overtaken by a band of cats.”
