Crumbl is a cookie chain with locations all across America that has recently gained tons of popularity online. This cookie company adds new flavors every week that keeps their fans invested and people have been waiting in line for hours to be a part of the trend. With its rising popularity on TikTok and various other social media platforms, it’s become a sensation all over America, with people across various social media platforms trying and rating the weekly cookies. Their birthday week featured four new flavors along with two returning flavors. Because of all of the craze surrounding these cookies, you know The Lance had to try them all.
CONFETTI CAKE:
Rating: 7/10
While it was really good, it didn’t really live up to the high expectations we had. It tasted like any old confetti cake you could make yourself from a grocery store box, but it still was good. In our opinion, the mini cake was a fun addition to this week’s box, but wasn’t a standout.
BIRTHDAY CAKE FT. OREO®:
Rating: 9/10
This one was definitely one of our favorites. I mean how can you ever go wrong with anything Oreo? This cookie had an Oreo base topped with cake batter cream cheese frosting. They even added actual Oreo pieces and sprinkles to top it off. The birthday cake frosting added a unique twist to the classic chocolate oreo flavor along with balancing it out! However, we thought that the cookie had too much frosting, which is why it scored a 9 out of 10.
CARAMEL SHORTBREAD FT. TWIX®:
Rating: 10/10
There were varying opinions for this cookie but between us, we thought this cookie was overall the perfect sweet treat. We liked the caramel and chocolate on top, and the Twix pieces were a perfect addition to the cookie. The ratio of caramel to cookie was well done, and the caramel definitely tasted better than some of the icings. The cookie had a shortbread base, so we liked the different taste and texture from the classic cookie base.
PEANUT BUTTER FT. SNICKERS®:
Rating: 8/10
We personally loved this one. Nora thought that the peanut butter overpowered the whole cookie, but Allison thought the caramel buttercream on top balanced it out. We didn’t love the peanuts inside of the cookie, but we liked the addition of the snickers bars on top along with the chocolate drizzle.
THE ORIGINAL PINK SUGAR:
Rating: 2/10
This cookie has created some controversy on the internet for its unusual taste. The main consensus seems to be that most people either love it or hate it, no in between. We personally disliked this cookie as we thought that the overpowering almond extract was not a good substitution for the typical vanilla extract. The grainy frosting and artificial almond flavor in the cookie definitely contributed to this negative rating. Overall, it had an unpleasant aftertaste and it definitely was the worst cookie on this lineup.
MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP:
Rating: 8/10
You can’t really go wrong with a classic chocolate chip cookie, and we thought Crumbl did it perfectly. It had the perfect texture: harder on the outside and softer on the inside. Along with that, the milk chocolate chips added flavor to every bite. Despite all the delicious parts of this classic cookie, its unreasonable price for being so basic earns it an 8 out of 10.
Overall, we personally thought that this week’s lineup was the best in awhile. However, the incredibly long wait is ridiculous if you’re planning on getting it again. There are definitely better cookie shops and bakeries out there that don’t force you to wait in a line for up to 90 minutes. So, tune in to The Lance Tries to find out what’s worth the hype and what’s not before wasting your money!
