Welcome back to Week 7 of Still Keeping It Real with Fantasy! It was a great week in the NFL with exciting games between the Commanders and Ravens and a nail-biting Monday night game between the Bills and Jets. The Chiefs and Vikings remain undefeated with a bye week each. This week the Bears and Cowboys (thankfully) have a bye week. There are many exciting matchups this week starting with a Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and 49ers, an NFC North matchup between the Lions and Vikings, and other exciting hot offenses matching up like the Texans and Packers, and the Ravens and Buccaneers. For fantasy owners who have started the season slowly, The Lance’s expert advice is here for Week 7 to give you an edge against your friends and enemies.
News/Injuries
Saints Wide Receivers – Rashid Shaheed suffered a knee injury and Chris Olave suffered from a concussion last week against the Buccaneers. The Saints have listed both Shaheed and Olave as out in week 7 against the Broncos. Bub Means becomes the Saints WR 1 and could be a start this week.
Cooper Kupp (WR) – Cooper Kupp has been upgraded to questionable for the Rams’ matchup against the Raiders. Kupp has been sidelined since Week 2 with an ankle injury. If Kupp does play, he should slot back into your starting lineup right away.
Starts
Austin Ekeler (RB) – The Commanders have been one of the surprises of the season so far. They will look to bounce back from their week 6 loss to the Ravens as they go up against the Panthers. Austin Ekeler will look to have a big game on the ground and through the air against one of the worst defenses in the league
Tee Higgins (WR) – Since returning from injury Tee Higgins has over 6 catches and 60 yards in 3 of his 4 games. The Bengals offense has started to click after a slow start to the season. This week the Bengals have a divisional matchup against the Browns who have a below-average secondary in the league.
Sits
Brandon Aiyuk (WR) – After holding out during the offseason because of contract disputes Brandon Aiyuk has struggled to start the season with just one double-digit scoring game and no touchdowns. The 49ers will face the Chiefs who have one of the best defenses in the league which means Aiyuk is expected to struggle again.
Josh Downs (WR) – Downs has had a great start to the season after missing the first two games with an injury. However, all of Downs’ production has been produced with Joe Flacco at quarterback. Anthony Richardson is expected to start on Sunday, so the Colts passing offense will likely regress.
Waiver Wire
Romeo Doubs (WR) – Romeo Doubs was suspended from last week’s game by the Packers after he skipped practice. The receiver has been frustrated over seeing a lack of targets through the first four weeks. Doubs returned from suspension this week with a two-touchdown performance against the Cardinals.
Sean Tucker (RB) – With Rachaad White out against the Saints the Buccaneers running back split carries with backfield partner Bucky Irving. He averaged an astounding 9.7 yards per carry while also rushing for a touchdown. He also had three receptions for 56 yards and a receiving touchdown.
