On November 12, the NVOT Varsity Girls Volleyball team celebrated another victory winning the State Sectional title against Sparta, keeping their undefeated streak alive, while also adding another trophy to the program’s collection. 

The last time the girls were sectional champions was in 2021, when the current seniors were freshmen. Senior setter Addison Gioffre said, “It was a full circle moment for me as a senior, there’s no better feeling.” 

The team won in two sets showcasing their skills and teamwork. “The team did a good job of staying focused throughout the entire match,” said junior Eva Curko. 

Coach Landeck also praised the team’s performance. She said, “I am very proud of the entire team. They have been working hard all year.” 

The girls remain undefeated at 23-0 and will play Lyndhurst in the NJSIAA Group Tournament Semifinal round on Thursday November 14, 2024.
