Girls Swim:
On Wednesday the girls competed against Indian Hills for the NJSIAA Tournament Quarterfinal Round and won 111-59. On Friday the girls had an away game against Mountain Lakes for the NJSIAA Tournament Semifinal Round and lost 95-74. Sophomore Julia Fila placed first in the 100 Free.
Boys Ice Hockey:
On Wednesday the boys placed against Clifton and lost 10-2. Senior Tyler Gaspin scored 2 points. On Friday the boys had an away game against Tenafly for the Big North Silver Cup Quarterfinal Round and lost 2-1. Senior Mitchell Brodsky scored one goal. The boys had an away game on Saturday against Newton and won 8-0. Senior Aiden Casbar scored 3 goals, and sophomore Max Steiner had 4 assists and 4 points.
Boys Bowling:
On February 3 the boys played against Teaneck and won 7-0. Senior Troy Essmann had achieved 624 high sets and senior Alex Orecchio had 246 high games. On Wednesday the boys played against Bergenfield and won 7-0. Orecchio had a total of 683 high sets and 256 high games.
Girls Bowling:
On Monday the girls played against Teaneck and won 5-2. Junior Julia Horgan had a total of 393 high sets and 153 high games. On Wednesday the girls had a home game against Bergenfield and won 6-1. Senior Soobeen Ahn had a total of 380 high sets and freshman Brooke Astudillo had a total of 149 high games.
Wrestling:
On Wednesday the boys had an away game against Westwood and won 45-23. Freshman Matthew Morrissey had the fastest pin of 43 seconds.
Girls Basketball:
On Tuesday the girls had a home game against Tenafly and won 58-28. The girls had a home game against Ramapo on Saturday for the Bergen County Tournament Quarterfinal Round and won 48-44. Junior Sienna Drulinsky scored 17 points, junior Mia Derrico scored 13 points, and junior Sadie Murphy scored 10 points.
Boys Basketball:
On February 4 the boys had an away game against Tenafly and lost 45-42. Junior Isaac Shrager scored 12 points, and senior Dylan Drullinsky and sophomore David Brennan scored 9 points each. On Friday the boys had a home game against Bergenfield and won 52-40. Brennan and Shrager scored 13 points each. The boys had a home game on Saturday against Saddle River Day and lost 79-65.
Cheer:
The girls competed on Monday for the Big North playoffs against the top 15 teams in the Big North. The team had a perfect hit 0 performance which means no stunts or tumblers fell. On Friday the girls had a home competition for the Big North Championship and placed 2 out of 28 teams. On Saturday the girls competed at JFK Memorial High School and placed first in the division and took home two trophies.
Track:
On Saturday the team went to Toms River to compete at Sectionals. Sophomore Nora Lee placed third in the 800 Meter Run, senior Sophia Katechis placed second in both the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter Run, sophomore Emme Fermin placed fourth in both the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter Run, and sophomore Caroline Ognibene placed second in High Jump. Senior Jamie Kim, senior Salome Sanchez, and Ognibene went one, two, and three in Pole Vault. Junior Gianna DeMarco placed fourth in Shot Put. On the boy’s side junior Brendan McNamara placed third in the 800 Meter Run and fourth in the 1600 Meter Run, junior Benjamin Johnson placed second in the 1600 Meter Run and fifth in the 3200 Meter Run, the 4×400 Meter Relay placed third, junior Jinu Pak placed fourth in Pole Vault, and sophomore Shane Small placed fifth in Shot Put.
