- Rapunzel and Flynn Rider:
A fan favorite of many, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider were the obvious choice for the number one spot. From the moment she attacked him with a cast iron skillet, their chemistry only grew. The combination of comedic and heartfelt moments throughout the movie makes it perfect for the Valentine’s season. Fun fact, their renowned floating lantern scene was adored by so many that it was even turned into a Disney ride in Tokyo! Flynn is the golden standard for a supportive and devoted lover, always encouraging Rapunzel to chase her dreams from the moment he rescued her from the tower. It’s pretty clear that they were meant to be from the start.

- Kristoff and Anna
This unexpected couple quickly became a fan favorite, giving the audience a perfect mix of caring and fiery chemistry. Their relationship starts off a little rocky, but after all the adventures they went through, Kristoff finally realized they were meant to be together after Anna’s life was threatened by a frozen heart. Ultimately supporting each other through it all, Kristoff and Anna had to be runner ups on this list.

- Jasmine and Aladdin
Jasmine and Aladdin are the ideal pair, putting them 3rd on our list. Despite their different social statuses, the two find a way to create a relationship built on mutual respect, trust, and adventure. Aladdin’s cunning personality makes every interaction on screen filled with charm and excitement, while Jasmine’s independent spirit challenges Aladdin to be a better person. Their happy ending is a climactic one with Aladdin outwitting Jafar to turn him into a genie: saving Jasmine and her kingdom.

- Belle and Beast
This classic enemies to lovers tale is beloved by all. While teaching the audience to never judge a book by its cover, this iconic love story also captivated the hearts of many. Although the beast did kidnap her father and lock her up in the castle, his development and growth after growing closer together is truly heartwarming. After all, he did give Belle, a book lover, a whole entire library. What’s more romantic than that?

- Tiana and Prince Naveen
A bit similar to Beauty and the Beast, Tiana and Prince Naveen’s relationship in The Princess and The Frog begins with Tiana seeing Naveen as conceited and irresponsible, and Naveen underestimating Tiana’s capabilities. Once Tiana gets turned into a frog, their relationship grows and flourishes, leading to their marriage in the end. Their character development throughout the movie shows how good they are as a couple, giving them a spot on the top 5 list.

- Ariel and Prince Eric
Coming from two different worlds, Ariel and Prince Eric are the perfect example of star crossed lovers. Although Ariel was without a voice for a majority of the movie, they still have so many touching scenes together. From Ariel saving Eric in the beginning to Eric heroically saving Ariel by steering a ship into Ursula’s heart, their love story is a favorite among many.

- Cinderella and Prince Charming
When you think about a Disney couple Cinderella and Prince Charming are probably the first to come to mind. Her castle is quite literally the face of Disney; both on the logo and life-sized in Disney World. Their story has been remade dozens of times, A Cinderella Story, Another Cinderella Story, A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song, A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits, A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish, you get the picture. Not only that, their original franchise also has 3 movies in itself, and a live action one. Cinderella and Prince Charming are the epitome of love at first sight, but you don’t really see them talk that much, making them one of the less romantic couples. We have to give him some credit though, he did search the entire town just to find her.

- Aurora and Prince Philip
After only meeting once in a forest, Aurora and Prince Philip’s relationship culminates in a true love’s kiss, breaking Maleficent’s evil spell. Their story is sweet, but it’s also very basic despite Prince Philip slaying a fire breathing dragon. Their time on the screen was short-lived as well, putting them 8th on our list.

- Pocahontas and John Smith
Two completely different worlds collide from when these characters first meet to their bittersweet separation at the end of the movie. It’s obvious Pocahontas and John Smith become better people from their experiences and time together, but they aren’t the most popular couple in the Disney princess franchise. Historically, the movie isn’t the most accurate, and the couple doesn’t even end up together, diverging from Disney’s signature happy ending. Because of these reasons, Pocahontas and John Smith are at number 9.

- Snow White and Prince Florian
While Snow White’s fairy tale is indeed timeless, her romance in Disney’s 1937 animated film could use some work. Even though Snow White gets saved by her true love’s kiss, she barely has any screen time with Prince Florian. Viewers can’t see a special bond develop between the two characters which weakens one of the key charms disney couples are known for. Taking their decade old age gap into account, we’ve decided to put this couple last.
Disney princess movies have long captured audiences with their romantic narratives, some being more enjoyable than others. By ranking these couples, we can appreciate the evolution of Disney’s romantic storytelling, so whether you’re looking to watch a charming fairytale romance or a more adventurous one this Valentine’s season, Disney has it all. It’s pretty obvious everyone adores these timeless characters, so no matter where they rank, each couple is a part of a special legacy of love stories.
