
Football:
The football team faced off against Pascack Valley on Friday, October 24 and defeated them 41-3. Devyn Radioan had 2 rushing touchdowns along with a pick six on the defensive side of the ball. The Knights finish the regular season undefeated, with a record of 8-0. They face River Dell in the first round of the NJSIAA Playoffs on October 31. The Knights defeated The Hawks 35-7 earlier in the year on September 5.
Cross Country:
On Friday, October 25, cross country had their Bergen County Meet of Champions at Darlington Park in Mahwah. For the boys, they placed 8th overall. Senior Ben Johnson placed 3rd overall, running a 15:48 and tying the Darlington school record set back in 2014. The girls placed 4th overall. Junior Emme Fermin ran an NVOT’s #2 all time race of 19:09 to contribute to the score.
Field Hockey:
On Monday October 20, the girls had a home game against Northern Highlands where they lost 6-0. They also had an away game on Wednesday against Dwight Englewood. They lost 2-0. The girls look to finish their season off with a home game against Butler on Monday, October 27, and an away game against Wayne Hills on Thursday, October 29.
Girls Soccer:
Girls soccer had 3 games this week. On Tuesday, October 21 they defeated Tenafly on home turf with a score of 3-2. Seniors Isabella Zingarelli and Mia Colon each scored a goal along with sophomore Elena Pothos. They also played an away game against Bergenfield on Thursday where they won 1-0. On Sunday, October 26, the girls played against Ramsey in the semifinal round of the Bergen County Tournament where they lost 5-1.
Boys Soccer :The boys soccer team had three games this week. On Tuesday, the Knights lost to Tenafly by a score of 4-1. Then on Thursday, the team was defeated by Bergenfield 2-1. Mulligan also scored the only goal for the Knights in the game.To finish off the week on Saturday, the Knights were defeated by Mawah 3-0.
Volleyball:The volleyball team had 3 games this week. Starting on Tuesday, the Knights lost to Demarest by a score of 2-1. On Thursday, The Knights defeated AHA by a score of 2-0. Curko recorded 9 kills. Senior Adriana Bryan also added 12 digs. Then, to end off the week on Saturday, the Knights defeated Tenafly in the Bergen County Tournament Semifinal by a score of 3-0. Whaley recorded 11 kills, junior Bianca Benasillo added 9 of her own, and junior Joley Giordano recorded 27 assists. The Knights will face off against Teaneck on October 30th and IHA on November 1st in the Final Round of The Bergen County Tournament.
