Still Keeping It Real With Fantasy- Week 14

Helping NVOT with their fantasy football problems

Playoffs are beginning for some leagues, and others still have a week or two to make the final playoff push. Either way, we are here to help you get fantasy gold.

News:

Eli Manning (Giants) will return as the starter after Daniel Jones suffered an ankle sprain in the loss against the Packers.

Adam Vinatieri (Colts) suffered a knee injury. The Colts claimed kicker Chase McLaughlin off of waivers likely meaning Vinatieri will miss time.

Kalen Ballage (Dolphins) has been placed on the injured reserve. Zach Zenner was claimed off of waivers.

Nick Foles (Jaguars) was benched after the loss to Tampa Bay. Gardner Minshew is back as the starter.

Starts:

Ryan Tannehill (Titans) – The past few weeks, the Titans have begun to pick up steam. Since picking up the reigns of the offense, the Titans have gone 5-1 with Tannehill throwing for 12 touchdowns and 3 interceptions and averaging 243 yards per game. This week, the Titans are playing the 6-6 Raiders. We expect Tannehill to have a good game with the Titans running up behind the Texans. With the Texans and Titans meeting up in the future, Tannehill and the Titans will definitely be picking up steam.

Benny Snell (Steelers)– James Conner is likely out again with his shoulder injury, giving Snell an increased workload for week 14 against the Cardinals. In the past two games, he had 13 and 10 points, which is bound to increase soon. The Cardinals are No. 10 in points allowed to running backs and have allowed running backs to score every game for the past three games. Snell is a low-end starter and a potential flex for a fantasy team.

Sits:

Julio Jones (Falcons) – The Falcons have had a very disappointing season, to say the least. With Jones missing last week’s matchup against the Saints with a tweaked shoulder, we should expect his high tier of play to decrease. Along with the injury, he hasn’t grabbed a touchdown since week 3 and only has had four games with 100 yards receiving, the most recent one being week 8. Overall, Jones has had a slow season, and as the Falcons continue to struggle, we see Jones not playing any better.

Jimmy Garoppolo(49ers) – Don’t let them fool you. This 49ers team is run through their defense. With Nick Bosa leading the pack, the 49ers have been rolling. The only seemingly large liability on their team we see is their quarterback Garoppolo. He only put up 10 points against Baltimore’s defense, in their last-second loss. After playing back to back top tier defenses on the road, we predict that Garoppolo will crumble.

Waiver Claims:

Gardner Minshew (Jaguars)- Minshew is back as the starting quarterback for the Jaguars as Nick Foles has been struggling for the past couple of games after returning from a week 1 injury. Hopefully, Minshew Mania will come back as well, as he scored at least 20 points in 6 of his first 9 games he played this year. Minshew is a low-end starter for a fantasy team in need.

Darwin Thompson (Chiefs)- With Darrel Williams on the IR and Damien Williams questionable, Thompson will have a larger workload going into the new week. He will be sharing touches with LeSean McCoy and will come out of the backfield as well as running the football downhill. Thompson is a flex at best.
