Still Keeping It Real With Fantasy- Week 15

Helping NVOT with their fantasy football problems

It is now officially playoff season. Whether you are looking to win fantasy gold, or just trying to avoid last place, we are here to give you some end of season advice.

News-

Lamar Jackson (Ravens) is questionable tonight against the Jets with a quad injury.

Mike Evans (Buccaneers) is done for the season with an Achilles injury, and Jameis Winston is dealing with multiple injuries.

Alshon Jeffery (Eagles) will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury suffered on Monday Night Football.

Starts –

A.J. Brown (Titans) – Formerly known as the man standing next to D.K. Metcalf in the infamous pre-combine picture, rookie Brown has begun to turn himself into a household name. The Titans offense is rolling and part of their success is credited to their three-headed monster in Brown, Ryan Tannehill, and Derrick Henry. After hauling in two touchdowns against the Raiders and emerging as Tannehill’s primary target, we expect him to keep rolling this week against the Texans. The Texans’ defense has shown its flaws as they were just manhandled by rookie Drew Lock and the Broncos.

Darius Slayton (Giants) – The Giants’ rookie receiver has also begun to make some noise this season. After grabbing five catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns, we feel like Slayton has found his groove and is set to produce in the near future. The Giants play the Dolphins this week, and we expect Eli Manning to be able to produce against this weak defense. Be on the lookout for Slayton, as he might be the difference in your fantasy playoffs this year.

Sits-

Joe Mixon (Bengals) – Mixon was set to have an incredible fantasy season, yet throughout the season, he has brought disappointment after disappointment. With only three touchdowns on the season, Mixon was briefly benched. He punched in a touchdown last week, against the Browns’ defense. This week he is running against one of the best defenses in the league: the New England Patriots. Mixon might pass the eye test, but we wouldn’t count on him this week.

Drew Lock (Broncos) – Lock has had an incredible story for the past two weeks, but so have the Chiefs’ defense. The Chiefs’ defense has turned on the Jets these past three weeks, holding Philip Rivers, Derek Carr and Tom Brady to 14 fantasy points or less in each outing. Arrowheads will be roaring as the division rival Chiefs are looking to ruin this young quarterback’s exciting start. Lock might be exciting, but he certainly isn’t reliable for this week.

Waiver Wires:

Raheem Mostert (49ers)Mostert built off his strong game in Week 13 at Baltimore with another solid outing in Week 14 at New Orleans. He had 10 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown as well as two catches for 40 yards and another touchdown. He’s now scored at least 13 PPR points in three straight games. The 49ers have given the lead role to Mostert and will look to increase his workload.

Adrian Peterson (Redskins)– The Redskins will go with Peterson and Chris Thompson as their primary running backs with Guice out against the Eagles, and both are worth starting. We like Peterson as a low-end starter. He now has six games with at least 13 carries on the season, and he’s scored at least 11 PPR points in five of them.
