Japan club to visit Mitsuwa Marketplace Wednesday
Japan is where modern pop culture and classic traditional culture collide, and Mitsuwa Marketplace is where America and Japan collide.
The Japanese club will be taking its annual trip to the Edgewater shopping center on Wednesday, November 9th. Mitsuwa Marketplace offers shoppers an abundance of Japanese goods, ranging from groceries to toys and stationery.
“[The trip] is a ton of fun for everyone,” said Japanese teacher Yoko Fukuda. “Mitsuwa is a great place for kids who don’t take Japanese language to experience Japanese culture, and especially Japanese food.”
Students attending the trip are expected to bring $13.00 dollars to cover the cost of transportation, and buses will depart at 3:00 PM, directly following the school day.
