Monday, May 31

The softball team lost to Ramapo by a score of 9-8 in the quarterfinals of the Bergen County Tournament.  Olivia Cataldo, Grayson Housley, Annie Pabst, Tina Chugranis, Isabella Chugranis, and Josephine Morales combined for nine hits and four runs. Raegan Germano pitched for seven innings and had six strikeouts. 

 

Tuesday, June 1

The softball team beat Morris Hills by a score of 8-1 in the first round of the NJSIAA tournament. Olivia Cataldo, Averi Galioto, Isabella Chugranis, Grayson Housely, Annie Pabst, and Josephine Morales tallied 13 hits and six runs. Raegan Germano pitched for five innings and had eight strikeouts. 

 

Wednesday, June 2

The baseball team defeated Wayne Valley by a score of 6-2 in the first round of the NJSIAA tournament. Faybel Ventura, James Keating, Logan Yhu, Elan Ofeck, Rob Chaneski, and Alex Kranzler accumulated nine hits and six runs. 

 

Saturday, June 5

The baseball team shut out Montville by a score of 5-0. Louie Mosca had two hits at three at bats, and had five strikeouts in seven innings pitched. 

The softball team lost to Passaic Valley in the quarter finals of the NJSIAA tournament by a score of  3-2. Olivia Cataldo, Tina Chugranis, Grayson Housely, Annie Pabst, and Josephine Morales combined for five hits. Raegan Germano pitched for six innings and had six strikeouts. 

 

Wednesday, June 9

The baseball team lost to Teaneck by a score of 4-2. The team scored two runs in the first inning. 

 

Saturday, June 12

The track team competed in the NJSIAA State Group Championships at Pennsauken High School. Junior Cara Hliboki competed in the 800 meter race coming in second place and second all-time in NVOT history. Freshman Abigail Dennis competed in the 100 meter and 200 meter,  placing fourth and third respectively. Freshman Layla Giordano competed in the shot put event, placing sixth at the competition and third all-time in NVOT history. Senior Kevin Ryu took home gold in the javelin event, winning the title of State Group III Champion.
