Integrity, accountability, respect, vision, and commitment.  These are the five keys, or pillars, of leadership according to Mr. Randy Nathan, president of Project NextGen, a leadership training and professional coaching organization. A group of NVOT’s student leaders were selected to participate in a series of seminars called ‘Lead with PRIDE’ with Nathan, in order to learn more about the path to gaining important leadership qualities.  

Students were selected for this program based on involvement around the school and leadership potential.  Most of the participants are team captains and/or club officers.  Senior soccer captain Amanda Tripodi said that she is “learning how to be a good leader on and off the field and in and out of the classroom.”

The student leaders will attend four meetings throughout the year, during which they will develop and practice effective leadership qualities.
