Monday, January 3

The boys bowling team won its home match against Clifton 7-0. Junior Peter Stonitsch had a match-high score of 246, while junior Ryan Woenne-McManus had a match-best set score of 582.

 

Tuesday, January 4

The boys basketball team won its home game against Bergenfield 51-40. Senior Ilan Barnea had 17 points and junior Joshua Lim contributed with 14 points. 

The girls basketball team won its game at Bergenfield 62-31. Sophomore Layla Giordano had 24 points and junior Mackenzie Ward had 14 points.

 

Wednesday, January 5

The ice hockey team lost its game against Tenafly 6-4. Freshman Mitchell Brodsky scored two goals, while seniors Brendan Rie and Maxwell Sweetwood each contributed with a goal. Freshman Brandon Field had three assists, while sophomores Oliver Berenbroick, Anthony White, Joe Legato, and Sam Vilkin each had an assist. Goalkeeper Gianluca Palazzolo had 23 saves. 

 

Thursday, January 6

The girls basketball team won its home game against Pascack Valley 55-38. Sophomore Maya Giordano had 18 points and Ward had 11.

 

Saturday, January 8

The wrestling team won its home match against Verona 43-24. Senior Declan Jaeger, senior Nathan Kim, and freshman Daniel Olivo won their matches with a pin. Senior Jake Smith and freshman Nicholas Rotolo won their matches through a 4-3 decision and a 13-2 major decision. Senior Liam Fowley, freshman Justin Morrissey, and freshman Jonathan Rotolo won their matches through forfeit. 

The wrestling team won its match against Passaic Valley 60-13. Senior Andrew Digia, sophomore Ryan O’Neil, Jaeger, Rotolo, Olivo, Morrissey, Rotolo, and Fowley all won their matches with pins. Smith and Senior Luke Guendy won their matches through a 6-3 decision and an 8-7 decision. Senior Matthew Olivo won his game through forfeit. 

The ice hockey team lost its home game against Northern Highlands 10-0. Goalkeeper Palazzolo had 48 saves. 

 

Sunday, January 9

The ice hockey team won its game against Nutley 4-3. Sweetwood, Berenbroick, White, and Field each had a goal. Rie and Vilkin contributed with an assist each and goalkeeper Eamon Doran had 30 saves.
