Monday, January 24

The boys swimming team won its home match against Indian Hills 113-56. Thomas Cho, Jonathan Cho, junior Joseph Yoon, and sophomore Jason Han, placed first in the 200 meter race. Junior Paolo Maselli won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle while sophomore Nicholas Kim won the 100 freestyle. 

The girls swimming team lost its home match against Indian Hills 99-70. Senior Corin Clark, sophomore Lily Martin, and sophomore Vesa Kyqykaliu placed first in the 200 freestyle, and freshman Brianna Perez won the 100 backstroke race. 

 

Tuesday, January 25

The boys basketball team won its home game against Northern Highlands 65-49. Senior Frankie D’ercole had 26 points and junior Aidan Heaney had 13.

The girls basketball team lost its game against Northern Highlands 46-40. Sophomore Layla Giordano had 17 points and junior Mackenzie Ward had 11.

The boys bowling team won its home match against Tenafly 7-0. Junior Ryan Woenne-Mcmanus bowled a match-high set score of 586.

The girls bowling team won its match against Tenafly 7-0. Junior Heather O’Brian bowled a match-high set score of 420.

 

Wednesday, January 26

The boys bowling team won its match against Pascack Valley 7-0. Junior Peter Stonitsch bowled a match-high set score of 586.

The girls bowling team won its match against Pascack Valley 5-2. Senior Jessica Silverman bowled a team-high set score of 426.

The wrestling team lost its match against Saint Joseph Regional 68-6. Freshman Justin Morrissey won his match through forfeit. 

 

Thursday, January 27

The boys basketball team lost its home game against Ramapo 60-47. D’ercole had 22 points and senior Ryan Woo had 8.

The girls basketball team won its first county game against Paramus 55-52. Ward had 18 points and Giordano scored 14 points.

 

Sunday, January 30

The boys basketball team won its first county game against Rutherford 57-53. Heaney had 17 points and D’ercole had 14.

The cheerleading team’s competition at Secaucus High School was cancelled this past weekend. They currently hold a 6-0 record in the Big North.
