On Tuesday, December 21, Superintendent James Santana announced via email that there will be a 12:00 p.m. dismissal on Thursday, December 23 for both Northern Valley Regional High Schools. 

The news comes the day after history teacher Brian Dunn posted a clipboard outside his classroom for students to sign in favor of the half day usually given on the 23rd, the day before holiday break. The movement garnered over 550 signatures before Santana emailed at 10:50 a.m. the next morning to announce a half day in keeping with “holiday schedule tradition.”
