English Department 

Poetry Out Loud was hosted on Friday, December 16 in the Auditorium. Participants Liana Farah, Jake Ellengold, Ines Gamino, Violet McKinley, Brooklyn Leagon, Sydney Watson, Yea-il Hwang, Dhriti Somas, Michelle Tang, and Seho Lee recited their poems, and Lilliana Mangano, Kaleigh Talty, and Derek Meola provided music. Senior, Seho Lee won first place and will advance to the next round regionally.

Diversity Club 

On Tuesday, December 20, the Diversity Club got together at lunch for their International Holiday Celebration. Students presented slides on different holiday foods from many different cultures. Some members even brought in food, which they shared with the club. Many different holidays were discussed during this celebration. The holidays were from different countries and times of the year.

Korean Club

The Korean Club met on Wednesday, December 14 in Room A203 to make cards to donate to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital. While making cards, the club members watched a Korean movie, Sunny, and received goodie bags full of candy after the meeting.

Debate

The Varsity Debate team competed in NVD on December 15. Their topic was to debate NATO. Kaitlyn Fung and Maya Soares got third place team overall.
