Girls Basketball:
The girls basketball team had two games this week. On Tuesday, January 27 they faced the Holy Angels where they won 51-28. Sophomore Alexa Caneudo contributed the most with 21 points. They also versed Northern Highlands on Saturday, January 31 in the first round of the Bergen County Tournament where they won 55-34. The girls look to continue their 12-3 record with a game against Tenafly on Tuesday, February 3 (away).
Boys Basketball:
Boys basketball had three games this week. First, the boys faced Saint Joseph’s Regional on Tuesday, January 27 where they were defeated by the Green Knights, 63-52. Leading scorer, Issac Shrager came away with 18 points. Next, the Knights had their first game of the Bergen County Jambouree, Thursday, January 29 at Dwight Englewood where they lost 60-56 in a close game. Finally, the boys played Indian Hills on Saturday, January 31 where they won 49-30. The boys look to continue the season with their next game against Tenafly on Tuesday, February 3 (home).
Hockey:
Hockey had three games this week. The first game of the week was against Clifton on Wednesday, January 28 where they lost 9-3. Their next game was on Thursday, January 29 against Northern Highlands they lost 8-1. On Sunday, February 1 the team turned things around with a 5-3 win against Tenafly. Sophomore Liam Malara had two goals, along with single goals from Alexander Labe, William Park, and Colin Karpati. Their next game will be on Wednesday, February 4 against Vernon. (away)
Winter Cheer:
The Pink Ladies won the first round of the Big North meet on Monday, January 26 at Pascack Valley HS. The girls also competed on Monday, February in the second round of the Big North where they lost. They look to redeem themselves on Sunday, February 8 at the In The Valley competition at Wayne Valley HS.
Bowling:
The bowling team had two games this week. Starting on Wednesday, January 28 they defeated Bergenfield 7-0. Senior Rocco Varni bowled an average of 210.33. On Friday, January 30 the team defeated Teaneck 7-0 as well. Senior Rocco Varni bowled an average of 171.33.
Wrestling:
On Wednesday, January 28, the wrestling team defeated Teaneck 12-68. Evan DeLeon and Elias Reyes both had a pin time of 0:27. With 3 matches left in the season, the team now has an overall record of 6-7. Their next match will be on Wednesday, February 4 against River Dell (home).
Track:
Track had no meets this week but will be competing on Tuesday, February 3 in the Varsity Classic Meet in the Armoury.
