Football:
The football team defeated West Milford by a score of 40-0 on Friday, November 7. Quarterback Zach Miceli threw for two touchdown passes, both to senior Joey Crescitelli and ran for one of his own. After defeating West Milford in NJSIAA sectional semi-final, the Knights will face off against Wayne Hills on Friday, November 14.
Volleyball:
The volleyball team had two matches this week. The team defeated Elmwood Park on Wednesday in 3 sets. Senior Julia Whaley recorded 10 kills, while sophomore Nadeline Whaley added 11 of her own. Then on Friday, November 7 the girls lost to Demarest in 4 sets, ending their season.
Boys Soccer:
The boys soccer team’s season came to an end after losing to Tenafly 5-1 in the first round of the NJSIAA Group 3 State Tournament. The lone goal was scored by sophomore Adem Ozgen.
Girls Soccer:
The girls soccer team had two games this week. Starting on Wednesday, the team defeated Dwight-Morrow by a score of 6-0. The goals came from Mia Colon, Caroline Ognibene, Leah Ramos, Isabella Zingarelli and Elena Pothos. Then on Saturday, the team defeated Montville by a score of 3-1. Isabella Zingarelli, Sienna Drulinsky and Leah Ramos all scored in the victory. The team will face off against Ramapo on Wednesday, November 12 in the semi-final round of the NJSIAA Tournament.
Cross Country:
On Saturday, November 8, cross country had the NJSIAA Group Championship at Holmdel Park. Senior Ben Johnson placed 6th in State Group 3 with a time of 16:23. The girls team placed 13th overall. Individually, Ben Johnson and junior Emme Fermin qualified for the State Meet of Champions on Saturday, November 15.
