The Latest- Boys Basketball Continues Win Streak, Girls Basketball Advance in County Tournament, and Wrestling Dominates NVD

Boys Basketball: The team improved to an 8-9 record this week after going 3-0 during the past week as senior Joshua Lim averaged 19 points per game; Lim is a nominee for player of the week. With wins over Tenafly, Clifton, and a county invitation win over Ridgefield the team is making a late push for the state tournament. The boys take on Bergenfield on Tuesday and Demarest on Thursday. 

Girls Basketball: The Girls team went undefeated on the week, too. On Tuesday, led by Junior Layla Giordano, the girls defeated Tenafly 60-50. Giordano scored 26 points in the team’s win. Saturday, the girls advanced to the quarterfinals of the county tournament after a dominating 59-33 win over Fair Lawn where Old Tappan had nine girls score in the game. 

Winter Cheer: The girls came in first place at the Ramapo rumble competition on Sunday to improve to 7-0 in the regular season. 

Ice Hockey: The boys got a 10-3 victory over Fair Lawn on Saturday. Sophomore Tyler Gaspin scored a goal and two assists while senior Drew Rosenblum added two assists to the mix. The team improved to 5-8-1 ahead of their game versus Clifton on Wednesday. 

Wrestling: After a dominating senior night win over Demarest on Wednesday, the team had a long weekend. With three matches on Saturday, they lost 57-18 to Kittatinny and 48-28 to Westfield. However, in their final matchup of the day, they managed to squeeze out a 39-36 win against Livingston.
