Girls Lacrosse:
On Monday, the girls had a home game against DePaul and won 15-12. Junior Charlotte Malady scored 7 points, and junior Mia Derrico scored 6 points. On Thursday, the girls played at home against Westwood and won 10-6. Senior Annabelle Lee scored 4 goals and junior Derrico scored 3 goals.
Boys Lacrosse:
The boys had their first home game on Tuesday against Bergen Tech and won 10-0. Sophomore Nick Blanchard scored 3 goals and had 4 assists. On Saturday, the boys had a home game against Nutley and won 8-2. Senior Anthony Policastro scored 3 goals, junior Ethan Anderson had 2 assists.
Baseball:
On Monday, the boys had a home game against Bergenfield and won 6-2. Senior Kai Ross and junior Selden Kolkebeck pitched for the Golden Knights, leading their team to their first victory. On Wednesday the boys had an away game against Bergenfield and won 5-1. Sophomore David Brennan pitched 5 innings for the Golden Knights, with one run, and four strikeouts. Freshman Jack Lemonie pitched two scoreless innings in his first varsity debut to close out the game. The boys had a home game against Bergen Catholic on Saturday and won 3-2. This puts NVOT on a 3-0 winning streak to start the season.
Softball:
On Monday, the girls had a home game against Ramapo and won 6-5. The girls had an away game on Wednesday against Northern Highlands and won 4-0. On Friday the girls had an away game against Demarest and won 12-0.
Boys Golf:
The boys’ golf team won against Cresskill on Monday with a score of 154 to 164. They also played against Ramsey on Tuesday and lost 160 to 164. On Thursday, the boys had a home game against Mahwah and won 159-189. The top scorers of the week were junior Zach Miller, sophomores James Ko and Aaron Ng, and freshman Khanho Lee.
Track:
On Tuesday, the team had a Tri-Meet with Pascack Valley and Teaneck at Pascack Valley High School. On Saturday, the team competed at the Pawlowski Relays at Ben Franklin Middle School. Junior Aidan Nally placed 1st in the 400m hurdles and the 4x200m relay team placed first, consisting of sophomores Leo Etter, Prince Morrison, Zach Miceli, and junior Devyn Radoian.
Boys Volleyball:
On Wednesday, the boy’s team had their first away match against Indian Hills and won 2-0. On Friday the boys had a home game against Fair Lawn and lost 2-0.
