Girls Basketball:
The girls basketball team had two games this week. On January 15 Demarest defeated the girls by a score of 38-37 in an overtime thriller. Sophomore Alexa Caunedo and senior Siena Drullinsky both recorded double-doubles in the loss.
Boys Basketball:
The boys basketball team had three games this week. On January 13, the team defeated Dumont by a score of 52-46. They suffered a 65-49 loss against Demarest on January 15. To end the week, the team also defeated Ramsey by a score of 56-54. They currently sit at 8-3 and will play Teaneck on January 20 at 4:15 (away).
Hockey:
The NVOT hockey team had two games this week. On January 14, the team defeated Pearl River (NY) by a score of 10-1. Senior Jett Geraci scored 4 of the 10 goals in the win. Then, on January 17th, the team defeated Nutley by a score of 11-1. Junior Liam Malara scored 5 goals in the win.
Winter Cheer:
The Pink Ladies and Golden Girls both won first place in their divisions at the Cutter Classic Cheer Competition in Fair Lawn. The Pink Ladies have a Big North meet on Monday, January 19, and both teams will compete at Patriot Pride in Secaucus on Saturday, January 24.
Bowling:
The bowling team had two games this week. Starting on January 13, the team defeated River Dell by a score of 7-0. Senior Selden Kolkebeck bowled a 209.33 average in three games. On January 15, the team also defeated Tenafly by a score of 7-0. Kolkebeck also bowled the highest average. The team is currently 7-3 and will face off against Demarest on January 22 at 4 P.M (home).
Wrestling:
The boys lost 54-25 to Pascack Valley on Wednesday, January 14. Sophomore Matthew Morrissey had a win by technical fall, junior William Tang had a pin in 3:26 and Senior Leo Decandia also recorded a major decision win. The team now has a record of 3-5.
