Gifted and Talented sends gifts overseas to military

Pringles, suntan lotion, and a simple letter of appreciation. These items will be sent overseas to those serving our country.

The Gifted and Talented Club, (G+T), collected these items on Monday, November 21 from its members to send to five local soldiers for the annual service project called Gifts for GI’s, said Mrs. Laura Rupp, guidance counselor and club advisor.

According to club president Skylar Regan, senior, “members are allowed to write personalized letters to soldiers thanking them for their service.”

Elementary students send cards; however, “hearing from high school students who can compose messages is very special as well,” Rupp added. These items were sent out on Tuesday, November 22 after school.
