Thursday, September 2

The girls tennis team opened their season with a 3-2 defeat to Demarest. 

 

Friday, September 3

The football team won their home opener 33-7 against Randolph High School. Junior quarterback Tommy Carraciolo led the team with 135 passing yards and two touchdowns. Captains Ian Andresen and Daniel Rivera each had a touchdown, while Captain Charlie Amatrula, junior Aidan Heaney, and junior Jack Diggins ran for 270 yards and three touchdowns. 

The girls tennis team lost to Holy Angels by a score of 4-1. Despite the defeat, sophomore Maggie English won her second singles match. English, sophomore Chloe Macaluso, and junior Stephanie An competed in singles while junior Connie Yeo, sophomore Sierra Lumia, freshman Jahnavi Vaghasia, and junior Carli Eichenbaum competed in doubles.

 

Tuesday, September 7

The boys soccer team opened their season with a 1-1 tie to Tenafly. Captain Jake Miller scored a goal to bring the team back from a goal down. Senior Evan Chrenko contributed with two saves. After double overtime, the score remained a draw.

The girls soccer team opened their season with a 6-1 win against Tenafly. Junior Natalie Carril scored three goals to complete a hat trick. Sophomore Julia Reilly, captain Juliana Morrissey, and senior Alexa Essmann each had a goal. Captain Emily Clune and junior Mae Dolan each contributed with an assist while junior Mackenzie Ward had three saves. 

The field hockey team lost their opening match 3-1 to River Dell. Senior Nicole Sir had a goal assisted by captain Nina Stonitsch in the second quarter. Offensively, the team had seven shots on goal and defensively, goalkeeper Shay McGee had five saves. 

 

Thursday, September 9

The girls volleyball team lost their opening match 2-1 to Clifton. Senior Jola Olutiola led with 12 kills, and junior Emma Gobo had 26 assists. 

 

Friday, September 10

The girls tennis team won 5-0 in their game against Teaneck. Senior Mia Setrakian won the first singles match, Macaluso won the second singles match, and English won the third singles match. Yeo and Lumia partnered up to win the first doubles match. 

 

Saturday, September 11

The boys soccer team won 4-1 in their game against Teaneck. Senior Leo Kim had three goals to complete a hat trick and Miller contributed with a goal assisted by captain Jason Chung. Senior Spencer Walsh and junior Andrew Demcsik also contributed with an assist each. 

The football team lost to Paterson Eastside by a score of 6-0. Carraciolo had 170 passing yards on 26 attempts and Diggins led the defense with 12 tackles.  

The girls soccer team won their second game 2-0 against Teaneck. Morrissey and Reilly each had a goal with Carril assisting both. Ward was able to keep a clean sheet with eight saves. 

The field hockey team lost their game against Ramsey 3-0. Goalkeeper Lynne Kim managed 13 saves while the team had three shots on goal. 

Boys and girls cross country competed in a meet at Darlington Park in Mahwah. The girls team placed second overall and the boys team placed third overall. Junior Kristen Johnson and senior Cara Hliboki placed sixth and seventh respectively in the girls’ race, while junior Matt Malora placed tenth in the boys’ race.
