Girls Lacrosse: The girls lacrosse team had two games this weekend. First, on April 27, the girls were defeated by Mawah by a score of 7-6. Senior Charlotte Malady and sophomore Giuliana Foschino both scored a pair of goals. Later in the week on May 2, the girls were defeated by Northern Highlands by a score of 16-4.
Boys Lacrosse: The boys lacrosse team also had two games this week. On April 30, the team was defeated by Pascack Valley by a score of 12-9. Junior Nick Blanchard led the team in scoring with three goals. Later in the week on May 2, the team was defeated by Northern Highlands by a score of 11-4. Sophomore Vincent Rossi had three goals in the loss.
Baseball: The baseball team had three games this week. The team began the week strong with a 10-0 victory over Demarest. Selden Kolkebeck pitched 5 innings with 10 strikeouts and junior Isaiah Rodriguez hit his first home run of the season. Two days later, the team defeated Demarest once again by a score of 19-2. Senior Anthony Onemebo hit two home runs and junior David Brennan recorded 5 strikeouts. The following day, the team was defeated by Passaic Tech by a score of 15-5, where Anthony Onemebo once again hit a home run in the loss.
Softball: The team had four games this week. On April 27, they defeated Demerast by a score of 5-0. Sophomore Riley Smith had four hits in the win. Two days later, the team defeated Teaneck by a score of 20-2. Sophomore Grace McManus continued her strong season with a home run in the win. On May 1, the team was defeated by Pascack Valley by a score of 5-1. To end off the week, the team defeated Rutherford by a score of 15-6. Sophomore Ava Candullo led the team with three hits.
Tennis: The NVOT boys tennis team had two matches this week. On April 29, the team was defeated by Demarest by a score of 5-0. Then on May 1, the team was defeated by Pascack Valley by a score of 5-0.
Boys Golf: The Boys golf team had two matches this week. On April 27, the team was defeated by Wayne Valley by a score of 147-155. Their second match came against Northern Highlands on April 29, in which they were defeated by a score of 165-168.
Track: In the League Championship meet, On the boys side, Leo Etter led the charge with a first-place finish in the 400m, while Brendan McNamara added a win in the 800m and also placed fourth in the 1600m. Ben Johnson contributed heavily in the distance events, taking second in the 3200m and third in the 1600m. For the girls, Emme Fermin paced the team with a dominant first-place finish in the 3200m, along with third-place finishes in both the 1600m and 800m. Sheila O’Sullivan added to the total with a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles, while Caroline Ognibene chipped in with a fourth-place finish in the long jump.
